This year marks the 150th anniversary of the deadliest conflict ever on U.S. soil, the Battle of Gettysburg. Often described as the turning point of the Civil War. A study of the battle provides illuminating lessons in effective leadership. Dr. McGough’s address will explore several examples of successful leadership strategies, management styles, and command decisions associated with the Gettysburg Campaign.

Leadership Under Fire will examine the core truths associated with the conflict, and discuss how 21st century leaders can apply the lessons of the battle. The presentation will help you analyze your role as a contemporary leader and consider how events at Gettysburg can teach you to better answer the challenges and more fully advance the opportunities of the schools and districts you help to lead.
